Here today for your consideration we have this superb set of Victorian sterling silver and bone handle (not ivory) fish servers, with silver made by Harrison Brothers & Howsan of Sheffield, c-1872. This incredible pair features intricately sculpted bone (not ivory) handles leading to stunningly executed silver work on the blade and fork. The fish blade has a family crest to one side with monogram to the other, whilst the fork remains free of additional embellishment. Condition is good overall, with all joints tight with no movement, although there are some minor losses where the knife handle meets the silver ferule (as per photos). The silver has the usual scratches from use but the hallmarks are crisp and clear to both pieces. The gauge of silver is extremely good, indicative of the superb quality of this set. The fish knife measures 32.5cm long whilst the fork measures in at 25cm long. Unpacked, the pair weigh a combined 351gms.
