Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Victorian set of six sterling silver dessert or fruit forks, made by Joseph Rodgers & Sons of Sheffield, c-1874. The set is of four-tine construction with raised front and torpedo-shape fluted handles, being of good quality throughout. Condition is reasonably good used, with no damage to the silver evident. The handles have some tight fractures and mild discolouration in spots, but are complete without loss. All the handles are tight to the tines, with one ferule having some minor movement. A very sweet set of 19th century English forks in precious sterling silver.
Each fork measures 16.5cm long, with the set weighing in at 154gms unpacked.
