Here today for your consideration we have this superb Victorian pair of sterling silver open salt cellars, made by Walter & John Barnard of London, c-1879. This beautiful set is of tapering form each with three ball feet and cobalt-blue glass liner, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with each having significant internal salt corrosion (refer photos). The glass liners are without chips or cracks. Each cellar features a differing and dated monogram, with the hallmarks about 70% overall. An attractive set of antique silver for the collection.
Each cellar stands 3cm tall and has a maximum diameter of 4.5cm. Unpacked, the set weighs in at 91gms with the silver accounting for 48gms of this.
