Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Victorian solid 15ct yellow gold brooch, featuring three purple garnet glass cabochons within a fancy rope edge setting, c-1880's. The brooch is of very nice quality throughout in both design and manufacture. Condition is reasonably good, though the cabochons have a few signs of wear and with the small two having some minor movement within the bezel settings (stable within settings, not likely to fall out). The pin holds good tension within the catch, with the brooch hallmarked to the reverse. An attractive 19th century brooch in solid gold.
The cabochons have diameters of 9mm and 14mm, with the brooch measuring 46mm long. Unpacked, it weighs in at an impressive 9.65gms.
