Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Victorian solid 18ct yellow gold photo locket, c-1880. The locket features bright cut detail to both covers with a soldered loop to the top allowing for the addition of a bail or jump ring, being of good quality throughout. Condition is reasonably good used, with the design quite worn from 150 or so years of love and use. Remnants of a monogram exist to the cartouche on one of the covers, with the hallmarks either lost or never present to begin with (tested as 18ct throughout; soldered loop is base metal). A warm and well loved gold locket awaiting its next chapter.
The locket (excluding loop) measures 30mm x 24mm and weighs in at 3.70gms unpacked.
