Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Victorian sterling silver salt cellar, made by William Evans of London, c-1880. The cellar is of tapering form with bright cut fern detail and sits atop three ball feet, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. The piece is in good used condition, with no major damage to note (some minor salt corrosion here and there, nothing too serious). The piece features a well executed crest to one face, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. The liner is a later blue plastic, and is very well fitted to the cellar being in good condition also. A delightful 19th century English sterling silver salt cellar for the collection.

The salt stands 37mm tall and has an overall diameter of 60mm. Unpacked, it weighs in at 62gms, or 50gms without the liner.
