Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Victorian sterling silver christening spoon, made by Hilliard & Thomason of Birmingham, c-1881. The spoon features brightwork throughout the face and verso including the back of the spoon bowl, being of good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is fair used, with a couple of repairs to the handle evident, as well as a few bumps and a 6mm split to the bowl (per photos). The spoon features a well executed monogram to the face, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. A fine late 19th century sterling silver spoon for the collection.
