Here today for your consideration we have this lovely Victorian sterling silver trowel, made by John Aldwinckle and Thomas Slater of London, c-1884. The piece features a pistol-grip handle with pierced tool of triangular shape, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. The trowel is in good used condition, with no major damage to note (a few shallow depressions and omissions to handle evident). The piece features a well executed engraving to the handle, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. An attractive piece of 19th century silver for the collection.
The trowel measures 17cm long and weighs in at 48gms unpacked.
