Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Victorian sterling silver and brass inkwell, made by SH or HS of Birmingham, c-1887. The inkwell is of round shape with half-fluted detail to the base and bright cut decoration, being of good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with a few minor depressions to the base evident. The piece is without monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 70% overall. It seems the piece would have originally had a cover of some description, but it is useable as-is in its current form. A lovely piece for the desk.
The inkwell stands 4cm tall and has a diameter of 5.5cm. Unpacked, it weighs in at 64gms.
