Here today for your consideration we have this lovely Victorian solid 9ct yellow gold mourning ring, featuring five panels of woven hair as made by unidentified jeweller WGM of Chester, c-1888. The quality is very good, with the ring hallmarked internally and with fading monogram to the front cartouche. The panels of hair are complete and without fraying, with a partial loss evident to the panel of the rear frame (per photos). A beautifully made 19th century English gold ring for the collection.
The band measures between 4mm and 7mm wide, with the band being sized a US 6.5, UK M and EU 52. Unpacked, it weighs in at 1.42gms.
