Here today for your consideration we have this incredible Victorian solid 15ct yellow gold brooch, featuring a silver-fronted setting of thirty-four (34) genuine rose and European cut diamonds with pearl drop embellishments, c-1890. The brooch is Art Nouveau styling and very nice quality throughout, the diamonds catching the light at every angle. Condition is reasonably good used, with a couple of pearls missing towards the right-hand side of the brooch (per photos). The bow setting at the left-hand side has some movement as a result of the pinned construction of this section, but is secure against the main bar. The pin holds good tension within the catch, with a loop allowing for the addition of a safety chain if desired. The brooch is without hallmark, and has been tested and is guaranteed as 15ct gold throughout with sterling silver frontages to the diamond-studded areas. A most attractive 19th century brooch to enhance any look.
The diamonds measure between 1mm and 2mm and have a total estimated weight of 0.54ct, with the brooch measuring 57mm long across the face. Unpacked, it weighs in at 5.53gms.
