Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Victorian pair of sterling silver open salt cellars, made by John & Frank Pairpoint of London, c-1891. Each cellar features a decorative pressed and bulbous lower section, tapering towards a simple bright cut rim. The handles take a classical swirl theme, with the interior of each salt retaining a substantial amount of their original gilding. Condition is good used, with no major or onerous damage to note. The rims are a little misshapen (nothing too serious), with the hallmarks being about 80% overall (maker starting to fade). The base of each salt has some spotting, as per photos. All in all, this is a very attractive set of salts for the collection.
Each piece stands 4cm tall and measures 7cm handle-to-handle. Unpacked, they weigh in at a combined 64gms.
