Here today for your consideration we have this lovely Victorian sterling silver letter opener, made by James Deakin & Sons of Sheffield, c-1892. The knife features a shaped blade with bright cut floral detail with the handle of unembellished mother of pearl, with the piece being of very good quality throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The piece is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 90% overall. An attractive 19th century English silver letter opener for the executive desk.
