Here today for your consideration we have this superb Victorian sterling silver novelty pepper pot, made by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd of Chester, c-1896. This wonderful piece takes the form of a typical Victorian teapot, complete with hinge lines and gilded interior. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The piece is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks being about 90% overall. A very fine and seldom seen novelty from the period, perfect for the collector.
The pot stands 3cm tall and measures 5.5cm handle-to-spout. Unpacked, it weighs in at 14gms.
