Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Victorian sterling silver oval bowl, made by James Dixon & Sons Ltd of Sheffield, c-1896. This wonderful piece is of oval shape and features beautiful pierced and pressed detail throughout, having nicely flowing shape and scalloped rim. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (a few pinpricks to the base evident, refer photos). The bowl features a nicely executed and dated monogram to the tray, with the hallmarks very clear under. A very attractive and practical piece for the home.
The bowl stands 4cm tall and measures about 20.5cm x 16cm at the rim. Unpacked, it weighs in at 128gms.
