Here today for your consideration we have this very attractive Victorian sterling silver serving tray, made by Henry Matthews of Birmingham, c-1897. The tray is of round form with richly decorated border of shell and leaf design, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (a few shallow depressions and minor surface scratches; nothing too serious). The piece is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 70% overall. A fine and useful English silver serving tray of good proportion.
The tray has a diameter of 31cm (12") and weighs in at a respectable 669gms unpacked.
The tray is photographed with a bottle of wine and glasses. These props are present to show the scale of the tray and are not included in the sale.
