Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Victorian sterling silver cigarette case, made by Colin Hewer Cheshire of Chester, c-1899. The case is of hip shape and features delightful bright cut detail to both faces with a bloomed gilt interior, being of good quality and gauge throughout. The piece is in good used condition, with no major damage to note (a couple of knocks to the corners, per photos). The clasp and hinge works as intended, both halves well aligned. The case features a well executed monogram to the cartouche, with the hallmarks in very good order. A wonderful turn of the century sterling silver case for the collection.
Closed, the case measures 8.5cm x 7cm. Unpacked, it weighs in at 98gms.
