Here today for your consideration we have this superb Victorian sterling silver-lidded scent bottle, made by Charles Fox & Co of London, c-1899. The bottle is of cylindrical form with hobnail-glass body and internal stopper, finished by a plainly-designed screw on silver lid. Condition is fair used, with a couple of minor chips to the bottle (near the base) and a split to the silver lid near the hallmarks. The piece features a well executed monogram to the top, with the hallmarks about 60% overall. An attractive piece for the collection.
The bottle stands 80mm tall and has a diameter of 23mm at the base. Unpacked, it weighs in at 48gms.
