Here today for your consideration we have this incredible Victorian solid 18ct yellow gold convertible pendant brooch, featuring a floral arrangement of seven (7) rhodolite garnets in an Etruscan-revival setting, c-1880's. The brooch features well defined goldwork throughout, with woven rope and beaded detail of very high quality. The versatility of this antique piece is excellent, with a concealed bail allowing it to be worn as both a necklace and a brooch depending on the occasion. The piece is in good used condition, with no major damage to note. A small viewing locket features to the back, with bevelled glass window tension set with wire. The pin holds good tension within the catch, with the piece without hallmark (tested 18ct gold throughout). Two original box link chains dangle from the base, with an additional loop allowing for the addition of a drop or a safety chain if desired. The stones are a beautiful and uniform colour throughout, being free from loss or damages. An exquisite and versatile 19th century high grade gold pendant brooch of large proportions.
