Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful pair of Victorian solid 18ct yellow gold dress or collar studs, made by Henry Steiner of Adelaide, c-1880. Each stud features a solid crystal opal cabochon in an eight-star gypsy setting, being of very good quality throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to the opals or gold to note. An incredibly rare set of Australian solid opal dress studs in high carat yellow gold for the collector.
The opals have diameters of 3.5mm, with the fronts and backs of the studs having diameters of 9mm and 11.5mm respectively. The set weighs in at 3.16gms unpacked.
