Here today for your consideration we have this lovely vintage sterling silver preserve pot, made by Birks of America. This lovely piece features nicely pierced detail throughout, having tight-fitting lid with spoon allowance and twist handle. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (minor bend at base rim, easily manipulated). The housing is a nice cylindrical design, making it relatively easy to find the replacement glass liner (or perhaps even ideal for store-bought jars). A versatile piece for the table.
The jar stands 10cm tall and has a diameter at the rim of 82mm. For the lid to sit on, a glass jar would need to be no taller than 6cm. Unpacked, the piece weighs in at 120gms.
