Here today for your consideration we have this fantastic antique solid 12ct yellow gold amethyst-studded pendant, suspended from a solid 9ct yellow gold chain. The amethysts are of bezel-set cabochon design with faceted backs, each of similar size and linked with chain loops. The chain is of figaro design, terminating in a bolt clasp. Condition is reasonably good, with one of the amethyst a replacement, and the other four having some surface abrasion (per photos). The chain is in very good condition with no major signs of use or wear, being hallmarked to the chain tag and clasp. The setting is without hallmark, but has been tested and is guaranteed as 12ct gold throughout. A nicely assembled solid gold necklace for the collection.
The cabochons measure approximately 10mm x 8mm and have a total estimated weight of 10.60cts, with the necklace having a total length of 45cm (17.5”). Unpacked, it weighs in at exactly 10.00gms.
