Egyptian Solid 14ct Yellow Gold 13ct Alexandrite Sapphire Dress Ring Size 9 R 59

Here today for your consideration we have this vintage solid 14ct yellow gold dress ring, featuring a round-cut created Alexandrite-type sapphire with partial Egyptian hallmarks. The quality is very good, with the ring hallmarked internally and without engraving (hallmarks mis-struck; tested and guaranteed 14ct fineness). The stone has a small fleabite to the table evident, and is securely held within the claw setting. An appealing colour-change ring for the collection.

The alexandrite has a diameter of 14.5mm and has an estimated weight of 13.62cts, with the band being sized US 9, UK R and EU 59. Unpacked, it weighs in at 6.56gms.

Due to the internal processors of digital cameras, the green-blue state of alexandrite is notoriously difficult to accurately photograph without the red hues appearing. Although not shown in the photos above, the stone does possess this colour change characteristic.
