Here today for your consideration we have this impressive antique solid 800-grade silver serving bowl, made by Zipper Antal Henrik of Budapest and retailed by Antal Bachrach, c-1920's. The bowl is of oval form with footed based and scalloped body with folded rims, being of very good quality throughout. Condition is reasonably good used, with a few minor knocks in places evident (nothing too serious; a good polish will enhance presentation). The bowl is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks in reasonably good order. A large and useful solid silver bowl for the table.
The bowl measures an incredible 36.5cm x 25.5cm (14.5" x 10") at the rim and stands 11.5cm (4.5") tall. Unpacked, it weighs in at 658gms.
The bowl has been staged with a bottle of champagne to show the magnificent proportions of the piece. The champagne is not included in the sale.
