Here today for your consideration we have this lovely vintage solid 15ct yellow gold bar brooch, featuring an oval blue opal doublet cabochon as the centre of a flower with bright cut petals and leaves, c-1950's. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note to the brooch. The doublet has nice colour across most of the stone, with flashes displaying at most angles. The pin holds good tension within the catch with safety chain added for peace of mind, with the hallmarks well struck. A beautiful mid 20th century solid gold brooch for the collection.
The opal measures 10mm x 7mm with the brooch measuring 53mm long. Unpacked, it weighs in at 4.32gms.
