Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful vintage solid 14ct white gold necklace, bearing Polish hallmarks for the period 1963-1986. The setting is of classic design with seven linked panels each containing a round-cut natural colourless zircon. The necklace chain is of box link design with fish hook clasp, being of very good quality throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The necklace is hallmarked to the clasp only and this hallmark is for 18ct gold, however the chain tests between 14ct and 18ct throughout and as such is guaranteed as 14ct. We suspect the lower reading is due to the thick rhodium plate this necklace currently has, which is in good condition throughout. A most beautiful vintage European necklace with natural stones in solid gold.
The zircons each have diameters of 2.5mm and have a total estimated weight of 0.56cts. The links measure 1.2mm wide, with the necklace having an overall length of 46cm (18"). Unpacked, it weighs in at a respectable 11.73gms.
