Here today for your consideration we have this fabulous vintage solid 9ct yellow gold bar brooch, featuring a black opal doublet cabochon, c-1960's. The opal features plenty of colour play throughout, with the gold displaying twin navette-shaped voids and four fins. Condition is good used, with no damage to the opal or gold to note. The pin is securely held within the safety catch, with safety chain present for peace of mind. A beautiful mid century solid gold brooch of excellent quality for the collector.
The cabochon measures 19mm x 9mm and has an estimated weight of 2.92cts. The brooch measures 62mm x 29mm across the face and weighs in at a generous 11.43gms unpacked.
