Here today for your consideration we have this sensational vintage sterling silver bottle coaster, made by Roberts & Belk Ltd of Sheffield, c-1978. The coaster features a full coverage of raised detail with themes of berry, grape, vine, conch and flower in a remnant gilt finish, being of exceptional quality throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The coaster is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks in good order. The silver is well fitted to the base, with the wooden base (likely beech) a lovely warm colour. A most excellent English silver bottle coaster of attractive design and top-tier quality.
The coaster stands 6cm tall and has an external and internal diameter of 15cm and 13cm respectively. Unpacked, it weighs in at a substantial 308gms.
